      Multicultural Action Plan

      The Queensland Human Rights Commission (QHRC) Multicultural Action Plan outlines how the Commission contributes to the Queensland Government’s multicultural policy.

      First independent review of the Human Rights Act 2019

      Section 95 of the Human Rights Act requires a review of the operation of the Act to be carried out by an independent and appropriately qualified person as soon as practicable after 1 July 2023. The Attorney-General asked Professor Susan Harris Rimmer to inquire into, and report on the operation of the Act.

      The final report, Placing People at the Heart of Policy: First independent review of the Human Rights Act 2019 (Qld) (PDF, 4.373 MB) was tabled in the Queensland Parliament on 26 March 2025.

      Health equity (2017-2018)

      Addressing institutional barriers to health equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Queensland's public hospital and health services

      Commissioned in partnership with the Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council (QAIHC), Adrian Marrie (Bukal Consultancy Services Pty Ltd) reports on the audit of hospital and health services in Queensland, identifying institutional barriers to health equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
