The consultation phase of the review will close on 1 May 2024.

Why take part?

Having your voice heard, in a confidential setting, is an opportunity to shape the future of Queensland Police Service and to make a difference to the culture of the organisation.

A more diverse and inclusive QPS will benefit current and future officers by providing a more contemporary workforce, and improving policing outcomes by better reflecting the communities police serve.

Who can take part?

All current, previous, or prospective police officers and police liaison officers are invited to participate in the Review. We want to hear from as many police and liaison officers as possible who are women, First Nations people, or from culturally diverse communities.

We are not collecting information from public service officers who work for the Queensland Police Service, members of the public, or victims/survivors of domestic and family violence who are not police members.

What will happen with what I share?

Find out about confidentiality and what will happen with the information you provide during the consultation phase in our information for participants.

How can I participate?

Our consultation phase is open until April 2024.

You can participate in the review during our consultation phase in a range of ways. These include:

  • participating in a one-on-one confidential conversation
  • filling in an online survey
  • sharing your views and perspectives at one of our site visits.

Confidential conversations

How these will run

Our one-on-one confidential conversations will run for between 30 minutes to an hour. They will be held either in person, online or by phone.

Each confidential conversation will be conducted by two Commission team members.

You will be given options on how you would like the information to be captured.

Usually, this will be through using software to record the meeting and generate a transcript of the conversation. Otherwise, one of our team members will create a written record.

You can also share your views in writing. You will be given an option to indicate you would like to submit your information in writing and we will send you a form to complete.

Register for a confidential conversation

Registrations for our one-on-one confidential conversations will close on 1 May 2024.

To take part, you can register for a confidential conversation through our online form.

Online survey

We will shortly be launching our online survey which will be available to QPS members across April and May 2024.
